BHT (Body Hair Transplant) or BHHT (Body Hair to Head Transplant) is hair transplantation technique performed with the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique. It is called BHT because, in this method, the donor area is not the back of the head, it is other body areas. It can be the beard, the chest, the back, the stomach area, the legs, and the arms. After extracting grafts from any of these body areas, the grafts are transplanted over the balding area of the head.

Usally the donation Area would be the back side of the head, in some cases it is not possible to extract grafts from the back of the head. The BHT technique allowes us the change the Donation area to any part of the body. But there are a few important factors that need to be considered to see the compatibility of body hair and recipient area.
Since the donor area can be any part of the body like beard, the chest, the back, the stomach area, the legs, and the arms. The thickness, direction, and curl of this hair is vary considerably. This transplanted hair usually doesn’t gain a length of more than 5 cm, thus the hair has to keep trimmed accordingly after the transplant.
